About Changing Minds
Gina Howland, Clinical Psychologist
MAPS FCCLP · BTeach (Primary) · BPsych (Hons) · MPsych (Clinical). Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists.
I am Gina Howland, a clinical psychologist and the founder of Changing Minds, and I work with children, teens and their parents. I am also a qualified primary school teacher, which gives me a practical understanding of how learning and developmental differences show up in the classroom as well as at home.
My background spans education, child protection and trauma, and clinical assessment and intervention. I use that experience to help families understand what is really going on for their child, and what to do about it. I am careful, evidence-based and practical, and my aim is to give you information you can trust and actually use.

The practice
Changing Minds Psychological Support and Solutions is a warm, family-friendly practice in Mount Annan, serving Camden, Campbelltown, Narellan, Wollondilly and the wider Macarthur region. We focus on children and adolescents, across assessment, therapy and NDIS Functional Capacity Assessments.
Our approach
We believe children learn best through doing and feeling, not worksheets, so our work is experiential and often embedded in play, with the child's sense of control and agency at the centre. Everything we produce, from a therapy plan to an assessment report, is written to be clear, practical and genuinely useful.

A welcoming space (with the dogs)
Coming to see a psychologist can feel big, especially for a child. We have built a calm, friendly space to make it easier, and that includes our resident dogs, Gracey and Oscar. They are a calm, friendly presence who help children feel settled, safe and at ease when they visit, and they are a much-loved part of the Changing Minds family.
Gracey and Oscar are part of our welcoming space and help children feel comfortable. They are not part of any formal therapy.
